The Augustas have several camp followers. Their role is to provide support for the militia: to cook for the messes during busy tactical events, tend any minor wounds and maladies, and offer a sense of home to the men on campaign. Camp followers will generally limit themselves in number to avoid an inappropriate ratio of females to males. Like the men, women will carry what they need for the duration of the campaign. Women with the militia will find no privacy. They will sleep next to the men, and will be correspondingly as wet, cold, hot, or hungry as the men are.

The Augusta women are a strong-willed lot with a range of talents: one can outshoot the company, another can spit like a man; all are able to quell disorderly behavior and ungentlemanly language with a single cold glare. While the ACM women have no formal clothing requirements, they limit themselves to common attire based on extant garments and period descriptions. It is understood that all will wear caps or other head covering, and stays; their aprons are well-worn.
